Hire a lawyer by the task, not by the hour

No one will ever care about your case the way you do.

So stop paying $300 an hour for things you can do yourself. Do the research. Write the drafts. Own the deadlines. Then hire a licensed attorney by the task to check your work, sign it, and stand up in court.

Pay an attorney only for the things you cannot do yourself.

Research, drafting and chasing deadlines are labour, not judgment. You can do those, and you care more about the outcome than anyone you could hire. Signing a filing, advising on strategy and standing up in court are the parts that need a licence. Those are the only parts you pay for.

Attorneys in your city who are cool with client-led representation.

We assembled a roster of attorneys who understand that AI has changed law practice. Clients can now do a lot of the casework themselves, and save. They read what you wrote, correct what is wrong, and sign it, at a flat fee they set themselves.

No card needed. Start for free. Attorneys keep 100% of their fee and we never take a cut of it.

The part you are already doing for free

A legal bill is one rate charged for six different things. Most of them are labor. One of them is a license.

What you do

The work

  • Read the rules and the statute
  • Find the cases that match your facts
  • Write the first draft of every document
  • Assemble your evidence and exhibits
  • Pull your own emails, texts and records
  • Track every date on the calendar
  • File your own paperwork

You already know your case better than any lawyer will after twenty billed hours. You lived it.

What the attorney does

The license

  • Reads what you wrote and tells you what is wrong with it
  • Catches the argument that loses you the case
  • Signs the filing and takes responsibility for it
  • Checks it against local rules and this judge's practice
  • Appears at the hearing as counsel of record
  • Is a licensed professional the other side has to deal with

This part you cannot do yourself, at any price, and it is the part worth paying for.

How it works

Tell us what you are dealing with

Your state, your matter, your next deadline. One screen. We work backwards from the dates you give us so you know when to start, and we link you straight to your court's own case search so you can confirm nothing has moved.

Do the work, with help

Research, drafting and an AI that has read your whole file and answers at 2am for free. Our playbook walks you through it, including how to get your emails and records out and into the right shape.

Send it to an attorney

One click. It routes only to attorneys licensed in your state. They read it, mark up what is wrong, and either sign it or send it back. Flat fee, quoted before you commit.

File it. Appear, or send them.

You file your own documents. When there is a hearing, you can go yourself or hire your attorney to appear as counsel of record for that hearing only.

The questions are free

The reason people lose cases they should win is not that they hired the wrong lawyer. It is that they stopped asking questions because every question cost $150.

Ask as many as you want, at any hour. When a question genuinely needs a lawyer's judgment, we tell you that instead of guessing, and put it in front of yours.

The deadline engine

Most self-represented people do not lose on the merits. They lose because something was due and nobody told them.

Every date goes on one calendar and we escalate: three weeks out, two weeks, one week, three days, the day before, the morning of. The three-day warning gets a text message.

"Ask a question without it costing you three hundred dollars."

That is most of the product, honestly. Everything else follows from it.

What this is not

If we oversell this you will get hurt, so here is the short list of things we are not.

Not a law firm

We do not give legal advice. We give you tools, research and a calendar. The attorney you hire through this site is your lawyer. We are not.

Not a rubber stamp

Attorneys here can and do refuse to sign. We record how long each review takes and we audit the fast ones. A signature that means nothing is worth nothing.

Not for every case

Criminal charges, anything risking removal of your child or deportation, or a trial inside two weeks: go hire a full-representation attorney today. We will tell you so at intake.

And it is not free labor for us: you supply the hours. If you are not going to do the reading and the writing, a flat-fee attorney will serve you better and we would rather say so now.

What it costs

Attorney fees are separate, set by each attorney, and paid to them in full. We take no percentage of any legal fee, ever. Full pricing

Attorneys

Licensed? There is work here, and we take none of your fee.

Flat-fee reviews and appearances, remote, on your schedule, from clients who have already done the preparation. You set your rates and keep 100%.
